Without a Compass

This image was shot from Fort Baker California looking at the San Francisco Bay. I saw this vessel and thought about the loneliness one can feel when out on your own. The image was composed just left of center. I am reminded by someone special to me, how all my work has this off-center theme throughout. I suppose she is right. Still, the point to the image is the crew have gone a long way in their journey and one is left to ask, did they find the end. I called this image, "Without a Compass", like a wise person said once, "if you don't know where you're going, how will you now when you get there."
